She Wrote Plays
WTJU 91.1 FM and UVA Drama present “She Wrote Plays” – new takes on works from a century ago by forgotten women playwrights. Charlottesville-based playwrights, tech producers, and actors have taken these old scripts and adapted them into modern radio dramas.
Listen to 8 works from Mary Burrill, Susan Glaspell, Alice Gerstenberg, May Miller, and Rachel Crothers.
She Wrote Plays is a production of WTJU 91.1 FM and the University of Virginia Department of Drama, with support from UVA Arts Endowment. This audio drama is also grateful to FreeSound.org and it’s many generous contributors. Full FX and music credits can be found at shewroteplays.com under individual episodes.

My interest in acting sparked as a freshman in high school, where I participated in my school's stage productions of Clue and Footloose! Since then, I have committed myself to learning as much as possible about film acting and production.
After taking many acting classes in Richmond, starring in multiple short films and commercials in the area, and participating in UVA's Overcranked film festival, I can confidently say that my love for this art has only continued to grow! I had a blast working with Doug and my fellow cast members in the studio when recording for this project, and I am thrilled to share it with others.
