About
The Virginia Audio Collective is a network of independent podcasts that connects listeners with exceptional stories, conversations, and music. The Virginia Audio Collective is a resource provided by WTJU 91.1 FM at the University of Virginia.
Launched in 2017, the Virginia Audio Collective reaches a global audience while being rooted in a corps of UVA- and Charlottesville-based producers. At its core, Virginia Audio Collective cultivates community and enriches our shared culture — for both listeners and makers alike.
Virginia Audio Collective is non-exclusive, so podcast makers can be a part of other networks in addition to VAC. Our podcast makers retain full ownership of their shows.
If you want to join Virginia Audio Collective as a podcast producer, contact us today at podcast@virginia.edu or fill out the contact form on our contacts page.
Except where production agreements are in place, individual podcasts are not a part of or a production of the University. They are produced by sole proporietors or organizations that are separate and independent entities which are responsible for and manage their own activities, finances, and editorial decisions. The University does not direct, supervise, or control individual podcasts and is not responsible for the podcasts' contracts, acts, or omissions. Views and opinions expressed by hosts or guests on any podcast do not necessarily reflect the views, opinions, politics, or position of WTJU or the University.
